MD-SO
Characteristics
The degassing plant mod. MD-SO is a machine designed and developed to perform metallurgical treatment of molten metals. The operating principle is based on introduction to the liquid metal bath of a special rotating launches high-speed rotating evenly inject the inert gas in the melt. The high rating of removing pollutants and not desiderated particles as gas H2 dissolved, intermetallic segregations, mixed oxides of Al2O3 e SiO2 , SiC, comes from the minimal dimensions of used gas bubbles. All the process parameters, as time of cycle and rotation speed are completely programmable. This machine is built with particular attention to the structural strength and the thermal insulation, because the insulating plate in contact with the ladle is often 180 mm andprovides a high isolation of the upper zone of the machine while the drive unit rotating launches is the same used on-line degassing, that have the lance constantly immersed in the melt.
